Opp AMVETS Service Center

The Service Center is open five (5) days a week, come on by and visit us.

Our meetings are  on the Second Thursday of the Month at the AMVETS Service Center on 203 MLK Dr. in Opp at 7:00 PM.  Meetings are open to the public.

3.  We do not discuss Religion or Politics

Alabama AMVETS Post 23 is located in Opp, Alabama.  Post 23 serves Veterans in Covington, Coffee, Crenshaw, and Geneva County areas, including the communities of Andalusia, Brantley, Dozier, Elba, Enterprise, Florala, Kinston, Opp, River Falls, Samson, Straughn and all surrounding areas. As the ONLY AMVETS in South Alabama, we welcome ALL Veterans and their family members.



















Warriors Round Table, every Friday morning 7:30AM - till   Come on out and have a cup of JOE!


Rider Rendezvous (R/V) on  Friday Mornings Meet at AMVETS Service Center at 8 AM for coffee, kickstands up at 8:30 AM.  Come on out and have a cup of coffee with the group.

Who Can Join?


Any person who served or is currently serving in the Armed Forces (including Nation Guard and Reserves) of the United States of America at any time after September 15, 1940, is eligible for regular membership in AMVETS, provided such service, when terminated by discharge or release is by honorable discharge, honorable separation or general discharge under honorable conditions.
